BLUE RIBBON Patchwork Quilting Paper Pieced Quilts!
So now you are ready to start paper piecing your quilt!
But WHERE to get your patchwork quilting paper patches? Why HERE of course! Well at least for some of shapes and sizes. If you scroll to the end of this post you will find links to Diamonds, Hexagons, Triangles, and Tumbling Blocks. I have a sheet of each, covering 1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″. You are welcome to print them off, they are in pdf format, cut them out, and start YOUR paper pieced quilt today!
But, if you are like me, I am in much too much of a hurry (is that like an oxymoron when it comes to hand piecing a quilt?) to stop to cut all those pieces of paper out? Unless maybe its pretty paper? Anyway, I prefer to BUY my paper templates so I can get right to fondling my patchwork quilting FABRIC! Click on the MORE link so YOU can start fondling fabric too!
You will find that the precut papers are a bit tough to find, but that Erica’s is online and ready to take your order! I am not affilitated, but after searching and searching I thought I would share her website with all of you.
BUT if you want to print and cut your own I have done part of the work for you. Click on any of the links below and you will have a FULL page of the designated patches ready for YOU to print and cut out! They are all in pdf format so that should be a cinch!
1″ Patches: Diamonds | Hexagons | Triangles | Tumbling Blocks
1-1/2″ Patches: Diamonds | Hexagons | Triangles | Tumbling Blocks
2″ Patches: Diamonds | Hexagons | Triangles | Tumbling Blocks
While I was searching I also found Anne’s blog and I thought I would share it with you too!
- Anne’s Creative Threads » English Paper Piecing – A few days ago, Traci, one of my Facebook friends asked if anyone did English paper piecing and it reminded me of the unfinished ‘Grandmother’s Flower Garden’ quilt that I probably started over thirty years ago. …
Enjoy her, and YOUR project!
NEXT? Exploring alternatives! In the meantime… have a GREAT spring weekend!
See you soon!
